Summer Spectrum

Remember when I said I was going to be on the lookout for more color? Well last night I went for a nice long stroll and was on the hunt for as many different flowers as I could find. Who knew there were so many in my neighborhood?

Bonus points if you can spot the 2 bumble bees.

At the start of my walk I got a cup of frozen yogurt from a new place: Karmic Yogurt. I first heard of it on Snickie’s blog, and was tempted to give it a try.

Karmic Yogurt is Pittsburgh’s first Gourmet Tart Frozen Yogurt.

I got a “little,” with 2 toppings: chocolate chips and  brownies. I wanted gummi bears but they were all out (*shakes fists*).

Mmmm… it was good. The yogurt was really tangy and tart, and the chocolate additions went great with it. The yogurt itself was only 90 calories, but I’m sure my toppings bumped it up over 200. Well worth it though! My only complaint would be the steep price – this little cup came in around $4.30. Yikes!

I’ve been up and cleaning since 9 am and I have many  more things left on my to-do list… better get back to it, gotta make the place sparkly for Joe’s return tomorrow. :) Hope you all have a nice start to your weekend!

I love your montage of flower photos! I can’t believe these are all around here and in bloom! I need to take a nice long walk and find some of these.

I hadn’t heard about this yogurt place yet! I had not so healthy frozen yogurt last night or I would get some today! My husband is a part time real estate agent at the Coldwell Banker Shadyside office, so sometimes I go walk around Shadyside when he is working (which is today). I loved living in Shadyside during law school!

I picked up the latest copy of Pittsburgh Magazine on Friday, and Karmic Yogurt was featured… I used to live in Shadyside (this was a few years ago), and I would have loved that place! There are NO yogurt places south of town!

It does seem pricey, though. I’ll have to check out their website.
