Perks of the Job
I have to say, first, that this week is going exponentially better than last.
Although Joe is out of town this whole week (family reunion at a lake in upstate NY), I’m keeping myself quite busy.
At work yesterday we were all delighted to find that one of our art camp instructors had baked a pie for the staff. It was made 100% from scratch, including raspberries that shew grew herself! Do I need to say more?

It definitely brightened up my work day!

I’ve also been spending some time away from my desk, (which is great), taking pictures of the arts camps. My favorite camp this week is “Drawing to Sculpture.” They’re making the coolest things! Monday they made “monster babies,” which they first drew from their imagination and then sculpted from clay. How cute are they!

Yesterday they made papier mache ice cream cones, and I can’t wait to see them get painted today.
Needless to say, work’s been pretty manageable this week.
In terms of eating, though, whenever I’m left to my own defenses that usually means one thing: lots of repeat meals. I’ve been eating yogurt bowls and green smoothies like crazy. Could be worse, I guess! I really can’t get enough of my yogurt bowls.

I love waking up to these….
Mmmm swirls of goodness!
I’ve got my film class tonight, and last night I finished filming and editing my first short film. I’m excited and nervous to share it tonight, and I can’t wait to see everyone else’s. Hope you all have a happy humpday, see you soon.

Awww, the monster babies are too cute.
I would eat those yogurt bowls everyday too, it looks awesome!
Oh my god, that pie. Wow.
Love those little creatures! I want to take a class where you work.
PS – I looked at the 4th pictures on your flickr… those are some gorgeous photos.
that pie looks amazing! we saw some wild raspberries growing while we were running last night and I think we’re going to go back and pick some
I’m excited.
the monster babies are so cute! i’m glad this week is better than last.
That pie is unbelievable! Homemade ones are THE best. Anyway we can see your short film? Good luck tonight!
Wow does that pie look good!
And those monster babies are so incredibly cute!
So glad to hear this week is better.
Can’t wait to see the film. Is it true film or is it digital? What are you editing it on??
I found this year that there are raspberries in my yard! I only had about 4 that were edible, and now the fruit is gone, but if they ever go crazy (as raspberry plants can) you will have to come over to pick some.
Those monster babies are absolutely precious!!!!
How cute are those Monster Babies?!?! So cute. The pie looks amazing. Nothing like homemade pie after a nice long day.
