BitterSWEET Ending
I was sad that my class was ending tonight, but I always bring in something sweet for my students to munch on while we do our final critique. Luckily, I recently received a wonderful package from Naturally Nora. (from Nora herself! thanks Nora!) Here’s Nora in her own words:
I love the fact that her products are all natural, and the obvious love & dedication she put into all her products. I decided on cupcakes, and picked out these two mixes:
I love the packaging – so cute & colorful! And the instructions – couldn’t be easier. Here’s the batter pre/post baking:
I picked a matching frosting so there’d be “bits of color” all around:
Here’s the finished product:
During the frosting part I grabbed one to taste test, and I accidentally dropped it! But I snatched it before it hit the floor (Jedi reflexes) – leaving me with frosting covered fingers.
They were DELICIOUS! OUTSTANDING! CUTE! I’m not a box-cake-mix type person usually, but I highly recommend Naturally Nora’s. And the girls in my class loved them.
I just had to show you that I think I finally found the perfect flesh-colored shirt.
Seriously! J.Crew, you found my exact complexion and made it into a shirt.
Amidst cupcake baking and frosting Joe & I whipped up some salads for dinner.
For Christmas I got a Joe a salad dressing shaker/container, and I finally pulled it out to use tonight. Here’s the ingredients that went into my dressing:
I was going for a citrus honey dijon type thing. I added olive oil as well. Here’s the container, and me squeezing & squishing the dressing around.
Here’s my salad:
I am very much a sweet salad person. Fruit, nuts and a sweet vinaigrette are my faves. Amongst my romaine hearts were shredded carrots, sliced strawberries, grapefruit segments (the best part!), craisins, red onion, and slivered almonds. A close up:
I wolfed it down quickly so I could get to class on time. I don’t know why we don’t have salads more often – but I think we will from now on. So light, easy and refreshing! I love that you can just throw in whatever you want.
As I mentioned earlier, the class I’ve been teaching for 6 weeks – Intro to Digital Photography for Teens – ended tonight. Each student (I had 5, but only 4 came tonight) had to prepare a final project with a theme/idea and present it to the class. They all did a great job, very deserving of a fresh cupcake.
I picked one image from each student that I really liked (they each had about 8). Here they are in no particular order:
Callie
Kelly
Lauren
Larissa
I’m so proud of them!
And I’ll miss teaching the class, we had a lot of fun.
I’m so ready for bed, it’s been a long day! I can’t wait for my tomorrow morning’s plethor-oats concoction though! And also, I wanted to put out a little teaser and let you all know that there’s going to be a GIVEAWAY CONTEST of a very delicious product tomorrow! I’ll just say that I hope you all haven’t give up sweets for Lent.
Stay tuned, good night!

I have never heard of Naturally Nora…looks like a great product!
awesome pictures – that sounds like a cool class.

Wow, great pictures and DELICIOUS cupcakes! I love the flesh-colored shirt, too
OH my gosh! I followed your recommendation and made Nora’s cupcakes…then I spread Epic Elixirs’ Elixir of Beauty on top like an icing…it was SO good!
Gracias!
