Big Dinner At Big Jim’s
When I got home from work I was greeted by this beautiful basket of flowers!

They’re from my grandparents as an engagement congratulations. They’re beautiful.
Definitely what I needed at the end of a cold, dark week!
Joe’s parents got into town around 5:30. We hung around and visited for a bit, then headed out to dinner at 7 with Ben & Callie. We went to Big Jim’s In the Run. It was recently featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Notorious for huge portions of great food – we were eager to indulge.
Excuse the inside pictures – the lighting was not quite bright enough.
We started with an antipasto for the table (this is after it had been served to 3 people).
The guys got some wings, this is all I saw of them:
For my meal I got a 1/2 meatball hoagie:
And a small white pizza for the table:
Joe got the Reuben sandwich:
Check out Ben’s gigantic veal parm sandwich:
We also got a large plain pizza for the table:
Joe’s mom also got a Reuben, and Callie got a cheeseburger. I believe there was onion rings as well.
After dinner (which was delicious all around), we came home and had leftovers of last night’s cake. Time to loosen up our belts a couple notches! We have leftover pizza in the fridge (can’t wait for that tomorrow), as well as some Reuben sandwich.
We plan to go to the strip in the morning, and who knows after that. I’ll do a recap of our trip around lunchtime tomorrow. Good night!

looks like a fun dinner! I love Diners, Driveins, and Dives
